My home is Soldotna, Alaska, I serve with Teach Beyond. I have been in education for 26 years. The majority of that time I taught at Grace Christian School in Anchorage, Alaska. This is my 20th year teaching 4th graders, which is my favorite grade! My degree is in Elementary Education and I also have a mater's in Education Administration.
My wife's name is Jenny and we have 3 kids. Our son and older daughter, Hunter and Dakota, are attending Colorado Christian University and our younger daughter, Makenna, is with us attending CISP. We also brought our miniature Schnauzer, Ellie.
I love the outdoors and being in the wilderness. I also enjoy working with my hands. I built our home in Alaska as well as many other cabins, decks and so on.
We decided to come to CISP because I have always had a heart for working with kids and teaching them not only math, reading, writing, etc, but also about Christ and the good news that we can have a personal relationship with God. I also enjoy working with young teachers as we develop and grow as educators.
We are thrilled to be a part of the CISP family and look forward to the adventure of living in a new culture and learning a little Czech along the way!
